Program Summary

Currently offered through the Xicas group at Galileo High School, Joven Noble is a comprehensive indigenous based, youth leadership development program that supports and guides youth through their “rites of passage” processes while focusing on the prevention of substance use and other corresponding risk factors such as teen pregnancy, relationship violence, gang violence and school failure.

The program provides a weekly circle to learn, heal and prepare for continued development. Youth will find a safe place to engage with other young women with similar goals. The group will learn about healthy relationships, effective communication skills, substance use and issues important to everyday life.

Schedule

The program is offered year round via 2 cycles; each cycle is 3 months in duration.

Spring
